John Pierce
Over the years John has been in high demand for his incredible range, power and vocal versatility. John Pierce is a highly acclaimed Operatic Welsh Tenor who has performed nationally and internationally. John who was brought up in rural North Wales, started singing late at the age of 17. In 2002 he started his training at The Royal Northern College of Music for 6 years followed by 2 years at the National Opera Studio where he was supported by Welsh National Opera.
Recent highlights include; Representing Wales in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2011 and becoming Welsh Singer of the Year in 2010; Performance for HRH Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall to celebrate his 50th Year being Patron of Wales; He has appeared with English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera;. BBC Radio 3 live recordings Verdi Requiem from St Davids Hall Cardiff; John is also a regular guest artist for Raymond Gubbay and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed at many of the UK’s leading concert venues which include Bridgewater Hall Manchester, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre London and St David’s Hall Cardiff and has done many live TV/radio recordings and The Proms in the Park with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Newham
Over the last few years John has moved into Classical Crossover, where it has taken him to places all over the UK, Europe and Worldwide.
